Managed mechanical and operations scope for novel jib crane to place sacrificial anodes into crude storage tanks for galvanic protection. Focus on developing intrinsically-safe, remotely-controlled equipment to deploy 60lb mass with 40ft boom through 24” ID access port with user-defined landing targets. Unique features include manual remote actuation for yaw, pitch, translation, drop, release, and retraction.

Full responsibility for hardware development foundational for MEMS-based optical networking product line. Delivered precise automated manufacturing tools, vibration/EMF attenuation, component failure analysis, prototype development, and NPI. Implementation of lean cost-saving and manufacturing optimization resulted in a 64% reduction of BoM cost and 80% reduction of assembly hours.
